A long time ago in 1803, Thomas Jefferson purchased a piece of land,called the Louisiana Territory. Thomas had no idea what was on this piece of land. So Thomas Jefferson sent Meriwether Lewis. Lewis knew he could not lead by himself so he asked William Clark to come with. Lewis was a expert with plants and animals. Clark was an expert with map making and native cultures. And this is how the expedition began.
It is about the indian tribes their tribes names are the Arikaras, the Mandans and the Hidatsa. They met Lewis and I on our journey and they where help full.
