Frederick Marian Rebel was born in 1921 to Carl and Mary Rebel. He grew up in Alva, Oklahoma. He joined the army in 1940 and was in the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was in the D-Day invasion of Normandy, France. For his service and sacrifice, he was awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. On July 13,1944, he lost his life in the battle for Hill 192. This website is dedicated in honor of PFC Fredrick Marian Rebel.
