The group known as the National Party politically forced blacks to live in separate villages and townships by arresting a black person found outside their town without government permission. Eventually a man by the name of nelson Mandela decided to do something about it, he inspired people to revolt against the government.

was a social activist and played a lead role in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s an 60s. He was a part of many peaceful protests to create acceptance and equality for African Americans in the United States. His speech gave hope for a future in which race was not an issue.

In 1947 Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier. He was the first African American to play in the national baseball league. The Brooklyn Dodgers now the Los Angeles Dodgers had the guts to sign him, and get lots incrimination from fans of the team. Since then Jackie Robinson has been a role model for all young baseball players to look up to. His legacy will never be forgotten in the world of baseball he changed the game and how it was played.
