Today KSD were part of the Marshmallow Challenge! They had 20 sticks of spaghetti, string, masking tape and one marshmallow and in pairs they needed to make the tallest free-standing structure with a marshmallow on top in 25 minutes. This is much harder than it sounds and the key is working well with your partner. There were some great partnerships and discussion going on and the best part was that we all got to eat marshmallows at the end! A Dairy Farm Excursion.

The following slideshow shows a snapshot of each students virtual world. When students are given the choice of what they will pursue, how they will pursue it and how they will share their learning with others, they are challenged to use important skills in decision making, planning and problem solving. Individual inquiries help students practice the kinds of thinking required for self management. They become self-motivated learners throug.
