The residency is called the Syme-Gilbert House after the first two owners and is located on 910 E Forest Ave. Built from 1870-1882 by Alexander Syme. Alexander Syme first lived in this house and was a Menasha Water Power tycoon. The main use of this house is for residential living. Edward Townsend Mix was the Milwaukee based architect. The Architectural Style of the house is Italianate and was built using brick. One of two outstanding residences to have a carriage house converted into it.
