How technology is bieng used to preserve the park. IN 1890 Yosemite was declared a national park for its granite cliffs, waterfalls, sequoias groves and the animals that live there. Yosemite is in central California and has almost 4 million visitors a year. Josiah Whitney and John Muir had large a disagreement on how the park was formed.
