Has much changed since the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Sure, the workplace is more diverse. Corporations hire more African-Americans to job positions. Is this solution enough? Can corporate America sleep peacefully, secure in the fact that, they have done the poor minorities a favor in giving them jobs. The answer is no, until merit is the main job hiring criteria and all qualified applicants have an equal hiring opportunity.
