I made more sgraffito vessels than glazed vessels because the carving process was something I enjoyed and it was a calming part of the day for me.
Though this piece was meant to be a teapot, due to my shaky grasp on time management skills, it has found new life as a covered bowl. One of the first pieces I made, I attempted to make a shallow bowl with a texture design. I threw the bowl on the wheel, let it dry, and carved the flower with a tool.
