In these are funny clips and songs on different periods of history. Vicious Vikings is one of my favourites. There are five series of Horrible Histories some of which can be accessed on youtube. The DVDs are also available to buy. Mine are so worn out that I might need to consider ordering another set! .
Already, the children have researched and found out an enormous deal about them and are showing a great fascination with the lifestyle of Viking people. There is a belief that all Vikings were vicious and bloodthirsty, however our class are slowly realising that there was more to them. Through lots of class discussion and planning, the class have decided on the following.
Our new topic for Spring Term 1 is The Tudors. Everyone knows something about the Tudors so we made a good start with our planning! We already knew some facts about Henry VIII and his six wives but we have many questions which we would still like to answer. So, this term we plan to find out all about the royal Tudors but also about the lives of ordinary Tudor people. How did they live? Where did they live? What did they wear? What did they eat? .
