I obtained my degree from Graceland University. I am certified to teach B thru Pre K, Elementary K thru 6, and I am a Certified Reading Specialist in grades K thru 12th. Each student will recieve a reading log on Tuesday. They will need to read each night for 15 minutes. Please record the title, pages read, and a parents signature. The log needs to be returned Friday morning. The weekly log is worth ten points. Each student will have math homework. As a class, we will do side A and side B will be their homework. The homework will be a review of previous lessons, and the lesson that was taught that day.

First grade is all about making leaps and bounds in reading progress. Starting in September keep track of the number of minutes your child reads at home. I will send home a calendar each month for you to record the numbers of minutes. These calendars need to returned at the beginning of the following month. The students will be recognized for their reading practice at home and rewarded by me.
