State Centennial Letter Writing Project. As part of the Centennial, the New Mexico History Museum in Santa Fe was collecting letters from New Mexicans, as a way to document their lives in 2012. As a class we have joined together to do our part and join the letter writing efforts! What is she doing now? Kari Vallo is enrolled as a freshman at NMSU. She is planning to take summer courses, as well as fulfill her role as a New Mexico Beef Ambassador. She takes pride in the place where she grew up. Here is a photo from the Ranch in which her family runs. This area is known as Paradise Valley located in the Pueblo of Acoma.
