Welcome to the Kay Lab! Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. We study adaptation and speciation in flowering plants. Earth and Marine Sciences, D324;. Does local adaptation occur at the scale of population, ecotype, or life history race? See also the Commentary on this article by von Wettberg et al. Have you ever wondered how so many closely-related species manage to live together in the California flora? Read Briscoe Runquist et al.
Our lab conducts work in multiple areas of population biology and community ecology. Many projects in the lab are focused on issues in conservation biology, but we are also interested in life history theory, population dynamics, the role of spatial structure and community interactions in shaping ecological dynamics, and multiple other topics. Dan moved to the Environmental Studies. And in conjunction with the Integrative Quantitative Biology.
The next one will be about my work in Qatar.
