8203; Volunteering in Room 101. I am so excited to have parent volunteers in our classroom. I know many of you are eager to begin and so am I. We have a lot of rules and expectations to follow before we can begin our literacy centers and have volunteers in our room. One goal of literacy centers is for each child to work. And I will find a replacement.
This is for their homework grade. This is essential for them closing the gap on where they are and the 7th or 8th grade curriculum. Welcome Back 2016-2017 Students! As usual, Room 101 is consistently learning and building on so many new concepts and facts. This past week, we read stories about The First Thanksgiving, identified facts about today and long ago, and incorporated lots of turkeys into our learning. We learned about the Native Americans, pilgrims and the Mayflower and had a thoughtful discussion about sharing. We incorporated this theme into much of our learning this week. Life-transforming ideas have always come to me through books. Homework Due January 9, 2017. Students do not have official homework over the break. It is expected that all students stay active with their reading and are ready to share about recently completed or started books on the first day back to class. Homework Due Friday, December 23rd.
