Welcome to second grade! Here are just some of the wonderful learning experiences that your child will participate in during this first quarter. This first quarter, our spelling principles will focus on short vowels, long vowels with CVCe, and beginning and ending consonant blends. Please make sure that your child completes their nightly spelling homework as this will help them study for the spelling test at the end of the week. In the first quarter, we will be covering four units.
