Spring has finally sprung! The snowbanks on the playground have melted and the puddles are drying up. The boots, ski pants, hats, mittens, jackets and all that gear have been put away. We will now resume our outside recess in the morning. Kindergarten has a been learning about plants and the plant life cycle. We have planted seeds and have seen them sprout! Dirigo Middle School 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies. Themes in United States History. Causes of the Revolutionary War. In 8th grade students study themes in United States history. They will explore the major conflicts in United States history starting with the American Revolution through the present conflict in Afghanistan. Students will also learn about how the United States government was developed and how it works today.
