Riverside Park- Then and Now. December 1872 - Bought from Henry Sherry by the Village Board. June 1885 - Wooden dance hall was donated by Henry Sherry. 1895 - Channel dug deeper by the Corps of Engineers to allow for large steamboats to land at the park. 1920 - The city received the first gun to be put in the park, but it was later given to a World War II scrap drive. 1948 - A larger Japanese gun replaced the first.

It is the second oldest municipal cemetery in the United States. It lies on 51 lush acres of land covered with giant oak trees. The land was originally just farmland. Oak Hill Cemetery is owned and maintained by the City of Neenah.
Hiram Smith Octagon House 343 Smith Street Neenah, WI 54956. Neenah Civil War Exhibit 2015. Orson Squire Fowler believed the octagon-shaped building allowed for more light and better health.
