As a friend of the owner of this blog, it is my sad duty to inform the readers, that Jim, the owner of this blog, passed away in the early hours of 9th April, quite suddenly. Jim is now at home with the Saviour Who died for him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Dorothy, at this sad time.

This is a blog about serving the homeless in Springfield, Illinois. Monday, December 19, 2011. January 22 we will be going again to Uturn Life Center. We will be taking duffle bags and backpacks. We are collecting them now. I am not sure about the hot drinks, we took 4 gallons of hot chocolate and had about 2 gallons left. We also had 3 gallons left of the 5 gallons of coffee that we took.
