Navajo traditional weaving begins with raising and herding sheep. In the spring the sheep are sheared and the wool is cleaned and prepared for dying. After the plants used for dying are gathered, the wool is boiled with the plants and natural mordants to create the colors desired. Many wools are not dyed at all since the natural colors are sufficient. Now the wool is starting to look like something familiar as it is spun into wool.

Another Marcello was on the way! Barbara went into labor with only her brother in law, Humphrey, home. The twins grew into children. Daniela was such a smart girl and did so well in school, she would often come home worn out from all her hard work. One day, Barbara got a phone call.

Sunday, March 15, 2015. June 4th 2014 - Transfer Day. So it has been quite awhile since I posted last, and a lot has happened. I grew a human! That feels soooo good to finally say! I want to document my experience with it all though so here goes. That is what I was most nervous about.
