A year in the life. Welcome to the Thurston OEC website. Owned and operated by South Tyneside Council, Thurston Outdoor Education Centre offers fully catered residential activity courses and self catering accommodation in the stunning setting of the English Lake District. We are situated on the shores of Coniston Water with the majestic Old Man as a backdrop and Grizedale Forest close by. We look forward to welcoming you to our centre.
