Students spent time learning about assitive technology and adaptive sports. They then formed companies and developed adaptive sports for people who use specific assistive technologies, including electric wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and devices for people who are blind. The links below showcase their ideas. Enjoy! Manual Wheel Chair Sports. Obstacle Course for Blind People. Manual Wheel Chair Capture the Flag.

We created a game for people who have to use electric wheelchairs to get around. It is called electric wheelchair off-roading. This race contains 5 people with an electric wheelchair called the tank chair. The tank chair is made for going over rough terrain such as sand, mud and even hiking trails. The course is about 1 mile long. It is 3000 x 2000 feet. Go around the track once. Start your own free website.
The assistive technology my partner and I have been working with is a walker. With this assistive technology, we have come up with a game that people with walkers can play. We hope that this game that we created will help people with walkers get more active. Start your own free website.

Assistive technology help people all over the world. It helps disabled people live a better life. We did manual wheelchair sports and the game we came up with is called The Maze Game. When the game starts you race down the ramp until you get to a basketball hoop. At the end of the game you want the least amount of points.
