As a precursor to the centenary of the WI in 2015 a WI Centenary Baton is being passed between every WI in the country, in June it made it to Nottinghamshire and having already travelled some distance around the county it arrived in the village of Ravenshead on Sunday 15th June 2014. Photos of Events - 2014. Members enjoyed an excellent and very reasonably price lunch. A visit around the town followed before retuning for afternoon tea and of course cake! February 28th and March 14th.

Beading Day at County House. On a lovely sunny day in March two Ollerton ladies travelled to County House for a busy day of beading with an excellent tutor - Patty McCourt. Together with members from around the county the ladies had an enjoyable but hardworking day creating a beautiful beaded cuff bracelet. More photos now available in the gallery.

This months talk was given by our very own Vice President Arlene Bull and her lovely husband Peter. Their wonderfully interesting talk was about bees and bee keeping. Peter and Arlene with their bees. Explained how bees produce honey and how a queen is made. The picture opposite shows a dead queen cell. We discovered just how hard working and clever bees are.
